What can be detected

Our dogs are trained to detect all explosive vapors; this list includes but is not limited to: TNT, PETN, RDX, Nitrates, Chlorate’s, and Black and Smokeless powders.  The total of vapors that the dog is trained to indicate on is 20.

The Canine olfactory senses are capable of recognizing parts per billion of any given substance.  This is in many cases more sensitive than machines, designed to perform the same task.  Another advantage over machine’s, is that the dog is not susceptible to problems associated with climate, dust, humidity, etc.

Although we in house test our dogs, they must, according to our standards, be independently tested and certified with documentation, by a Police department as well as an independent civilian organization that is also overseen by Police Standards.  No other privately owned detection dogs can attest to this.
