PAST AND PRESENT
The following dogs have either been owned and trained by Sid Murray or selected and trained for their new owner and are carrying on to make them what they are today.
Sid’s own dogs, the first Arno, Trooper and Smoke, have passed away but they have successors who are following in their footsteps.
All of these dogs have made a profound difference to the industry in their working lives. Here are just a few of them, and what they have accomplished.
ARNO-1985-2000. His career took him from east to west coast in Canada and as far south as South America. He was known as the “Wonder dog”, in the Drug community. He received awards from various organizations for his outstanding drug work.
ARNO - Drug Dog- First drug dog to work in Federal Penitentiaries in Western Canada. Gave demonstrations to top Airlines on the use of drug dogs.
TROOPER- Bomb Dog- Some of our clients – Ismali Council, Ontario Schools, Niagara Regional Police. Demonstrations in South America and all over the United States.
SMOKE-1- the first arson dog. The first privately owned Arson dog, trained/ handled and owned by Sid. Worked exclusively for Origin and Cause of Ancaster, Ontario
GINA
- State of Ohio Certified Nitrate Detection K-9. In her career with Tim, who is Summit County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Trainer and Coordinator, she has protected Presidents, Heads of State and High profile Dignitaries. She works the Pro Football Hall of Fame Festivities and Cleveland Browns home games.
BROWN - He was certified in Narcotics with Deputy Sheriff K9 handler Kathy Wilmoth . Brown’s “specialities, if you want to say he had any were vehicles and lockers. He was known on the street as “Dope Dog Deluxe” He is loved at schools and demos. A favorite of the fair, as Brown was a true clown in front of the school children. Deputy Wilmoth K-9’s ” Brown and K-9 Griff ” averaged 350 uses per year with the different jurisdictions. Great dog and still working.
EICHE - 1993-2007 Bomb Detection dog.
Final Stats of career, 51 confirmed finds in 10 years. Protected President, Vice-Presidents, First Ladies, Heads of State, High level candidates and dignitaries. Retired from Summit County Sheriff’s Office when he was 12.
Boomer- 2009- and Bailey – 2008
Successful drug detection dogs in Northern Alberta. Since the start of their career as drug dogs they have made an impact on the job. Stats to follow at the end of the year.
Drug use in the work place will only cause accidents and higher compensation costs.
